Patient Care Coordinator [Philippines]

Location: Remote (permanent work from home)

Client: US healthcare company

Hours: 5 days a week, EST

Salary range: TBD - generally equal to or higher than market rates

Tools required: Computer, noise cancellation headset, second monitor, stable internet, and backup internet connection

Objective: To collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care and treatment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring that their needs are met in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Work closely with insurance companies to verify patient benefits and coverage, and proactively resolve any related issues.
  • Assist patients in navigating the complex healthcare system by offering guidance on insurance, referrals, and other healthcare-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for patients, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Effectively communicate and educate patients on the full range of services offered by the company, to maximize their health outcomes.
  • Ensure that all patient interactions are conducted in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable privacy laws and regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must speak with a US accent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patient Care Coordinator or Virtual Medical Receptionist in a healthcare setting for a US-based company.
  • Experienced in performing inbound and outbound calls.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminologies.
  • Solid understanding of US insurance and medical policy guidelines.
  • Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php45,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per month
