POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Raw Material Technician is responsible for maintaining, tracking and all required details in order to deliver the best raw materials, to meet design aesthetic & vision whilst balancing quality, cost and speed.
- Collaborating with mills, Hub Teams, US Raw Material teams and Supply Chain Partners to achieve the desired results
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Fabric Development and Sourcing
- Accurately updates system and tools as required and completed within specified deadlines
- Owns communication with mills, Hubs and US Raw Material teams
- Executes wash development and ensure aesthetic and performance characteristics
- Supports investigation of Trend research
- Executes fabric development and ensure aesthetic and performance characteristics, under US design & raw material team guidance
Quality
- Actively participates in pre-production meetings for garments sewn in country and mitigate any fabric quality issues
Process
- Understands deadlines and ensures they are met. Proactively tracks development, Sample yardage, and bulk fabric quality.

Internal Contacts: RM and Color Team, Design Team, Hub Merchant Team.
External Contacts: Fabric mills, Garment factories,

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Textile or related subject. minimum of 6~8 years of related work experience in sourcing and developing for knit fabric.
Skills:
- Knowledge of fundamentals on knitting and weaving of cotton and synthetic fabric.
- Knowledge of yarn, dyeing and finishing including performance attributes.
- Experiences in handling raw material approval process .
- Knowledge in reviewing and comments on the fabric test report.
- Strong communication skills, organizational and follow-up skills
- Positive and able to work in a team environement
- Good communication skills in a teamwork environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Good in MS Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint
